HP HD audio sound card...
Fact: I've installed the latest version of Vista beta2 x86 (clean install) on a new HP DV8296EA -> laptopsticker says it's Vista capable??? Well.. I've got no sound at all! It's a conexant HD audio driver that won't work 'error code 10'. If I do an update.. nothing. Tryed it manually and he found it in the old Windows files, but if he tries to install it it says there's a problem and he can't find the right file.
What to do? I've tried the web, no luck. Anyone? 2 possibilities: a patch or I'll have to wait on a new driver from Conexant.
PS: In other posts on the web it says HP isn't working on driver updates for Vista. Why do they put that damn sticker on it then?!

When going to the HP technical support page for your Model. Do a search I typed just Vista. Then there should be software and drivers there that should resolve any problem. If they are available also I found their live chat to be very helpful(don't be heart broken if they have no answers at this time of development of Vista. Beta testing they are still creating answer's).

Hi, thanks, but only an hour after posting my problem I found another solution.
I've downloaded the Xp driver and it worked! ;-)
Thanks anyway.
